Donovan Transfer Hint – Time To Think?

Landon Donovan’s latest statement has revealed that there may be a possible move away from The LA Galaxy. Following a 5-2 thrashing by Man Utd he said:

‘We have transfer interest and we will have some time to think about it and see where it goes. There is interest from a number of teams.’

So what’s to think about? There’s only one team for LD and that’s Everton,  after all We are born, not manufactured… and so on!

I would like to think that if Everton stumped up the money and lay it on the table, LD would jump at the chance. Or, am I being completely stupid and naive?

I hope to god that this doesn’t boil down to the old “we operate on tight budget”, I’m sick of saying it, but I think a deal for LD would self fund itself with the potential transatlantic merchandising.

Come on Blue Bill, give us an early Christmas present, we got a fantastic gift last year – it was just late when it arrived in January (but thanks all the same)

GET IT SORTED!!!

i can’t see how landon could play for any other club but everton, he has stated several times that if he returned to the premiership there was only one club he would want to play for, that club is everton but will the thought of man city’s millions change his mind, lets hope he is a man of principle not like the two rats at newcastle and man city, i imagine all everton fans will be thrilled when lescott is told he is no longer wanted at city and gosling is playing in the champions league with newly demoted newcastle

I would like to think that if Everton stumped up the money then Landon would jump at the chance as well. And he’s hinted as such in the past by saying that Everton is the only premier league team that he would play for. But I’ve been burned in the past. I thought that Lescott would spurn the move to Man City. I thought that Rooney really meant it when he showed us that t-shirt “once a blue, always a blue”. I used to idolise Franny Jeffers before he forced through the move to Arsenal, & I’ll never forget the way that Nicky Barmby left us. I’ve thought it before, but Landon seems different. Genuine. But then perhaps that’s just me being naive… again. Only time will tell.
